update

OK so I'm trying to figure out how to post my drawing...called "Daddy's Lullaby"... but i think my printer/scanner is too small. So i might just have to take a picture of it. I also might have some questions- like if i should put a background in or not because it's very colorful.
Update on what I've been up to, a lot of stuff in mind:
1) since the "Daddy's Lullaby" was kinda in dedication to my dad...i had a feeling my mom was left out so i decided to do something she'd love, but its not turning out so well. It's three small portraits. one of her mom, her godmother, and finally her in the middle of the two. They are wedding pictures, and i have a wedding frame to fit all three. I have the godmother finished but I'm not too satisfied so i really need to keep working on that.
2) pop up book: I've drawn practically all the characters so i want to jump on that soon.
3) I know this is going to sound really strange but I'm going to draw my hand twisted in chains....this happened to me like a week ago- nearly tore my thumb off, but even though it hurt like...well it hurt =)...i think it might be fun to draw and even if the picture might not send a smile on someones face or make them feel all warm and tingly inside i think it may still bring out some feeling hopefully.

I have other projects in mind but those are the main ones I'm focusing on.

PS - BEWARE OF PLAY SET TIRE SWINGS!

Hi WorkBig! Wow you have really been busy! Let's talk about some of your concerns.
First your image of "Daddy's Lullaby" can most easily be made by taking a photo of it and then posting the photo. It sounds like you can handle that process but if not, please say so. I'm looking forward to seeing that one.
Next, your mom's piece: you haven't given me enough specific information to be able to make an appropriate suggestion so I'll wait to comment on that one.
I'm anxious to see how this pop-up book is going to play out. This is the first piece you talked about this summer so the amount of time you've spent developing it is impressive. I'm sure it will be wonderful when we get a chance to see it. I'm hoping that reference book is able to help you figure out some of the mechanics of the process.
And finally, it's funny how life has a way of helping you decide what you need to work on next. I'm sorry you got hurt. :-{ That must have been a pretty nasty injury. Here's the good news: When something affects you in such a personal way, those strong emotions cannot help but present themselves in your markmaking. Being able to get those feelings down on the page and working though those them often makes for dynamic images. I say go for it! Not all images have to be "sunshine and butterflies". They need to be authentic to the artist.
