Unconventional art

So my best friend Elena just got shipped in from New York for her summerly visit to Ohio. Of course this means I have a whole new plethora of drawing inspiration and you tube videos to watch.
Everyone watch this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_HPvAhnG_w&feature=user Right there, that link copy and paste it now! It's absolutely crazy and ridiculous and amazing! I've been inspired to do a drawing in mascara because it looks so fun and awesome.
I hope everyone's summers are going great and that you are inspired to make your own crazy art. =]

OMG! You two are crazy! :-} I pity your mom j/k.
Ok, I watched the toast video and one more. Here's what I think:
1st - I think Vegemite makes a better impasto than food. I liked the use of the knife as a palette knife and the scraping back to get lighter values. I don't know if I would have thought to put the nine pieces together but it works really well.
2nd - The detail in the Bette Davis portrait is wonderful. The brush really lends itself to a variety of mark making. The values are great and very unexpected.
So I think 'z!lla will be creating some interesting pieces as a result of your visit Elena. Thanks for bringing this energy to Cincinnati.
And 'z!lla - ...all work and no play...all play and no work...
Balance, that's what it's all about! Have fun you 2!
