This doesn't have anything to do with my summer art, but I was wondering if you knew anything that was going on about art club this year. I haven't heard from Stephanie and gaggle isn't working for me so I'm not sure if there were any leadership council meetings or something on the matter.
I was hoping to better organize it this year so I typed up a packet for the girls telling them the activities we'll be doing and the supplies they'll need for each. I'm going to be putting the date of the meetings next to the activities that they correspond to and am giving the girls instructions for the activities as well. The only problem is I have no idea how many meetings we'll be having so I typed up six activities thinking that may be enough. I don't know if you'd know anything about this or not, but I thought it might be good to ask.
Oh and I made a design for this year's T-Shirt too so I can hand out order forms first meeting. Yay for organization!

Wow! You have really been busy!
Sorry, I haven't heard from any of the kids on this topic. I'm pretty sure Sophie is still working with you all and Art Club though.
Also sorry, I don't have any specific information for you. I do know that Sophie will be pleased that you have begun to plan. Are you and Stephanie co-presidents?
I would say this right now... since you have planned for a few months of meetings, take a break. You'll find that as the year progresses there may need to be some changes anyway so planning the whole year out now might not be necessary.
One thing you might want to put some thought into is the time you will be alloted for introductions of your club before the student body during kick-off days. May I suggest that you might not want to try so hard to "entertain" people as so often happens. In my opinion, that just gets to be more of a "popularity contest". I don't think that's the best way to present yourselves, but ultimately you decide.
Hopefully when school starts, you will have a chance to meet to make plans about the presentation. You can always stay after school for a short meeting to organize your thoughts.
I'm glad you are thinking ahead. It will result in better meetings. Good for you!
I know I still plan on being a president, but I have no idea about Stephanie.
I'm sure we'll need to switch things around once the year starts up, I just want to make it less stressful. Haha, last year I don't think Stephanie and I really knew what we were getting into so hopefully this packet will help us get through this year.
I've already decided on not trying to entertain people as much. I don't know, it was fun last year, but I don't want people to only come to the club for food and relaxation time. Hopefully people will come because of the things we have planned this year so we can be more productive.
I guess we'll just see what happens when the year starts. ^^
As always you have your head on straight!
I think you'll do a marvelous job.
I think we're both on the same page all along the way. It SHOULD be about the art making although your parents' food is awesome! :-)
The preplanning is a great idea - it will definitely help. Way to be, Big T!
(Now if somebody could just figure out how to slow time down a bit. I am soooo not ready yet!)
Hahaha, I know what you mean. My mom told me school started on the 11th and I almost had a spazz attack. Still it's much closer than I'd like t to be. ^^;
