Quick Design

Mhmm here's what boredom does to you. Also, I just had to take a break from the summer work I've been doing and just do a piece for fun. I was looking around DeviantArt and saw someone was having a contest to design an outfit for a boy that had the colors grey, black, and red in it. Also he had to have duel guns (I can't draw guns so I just put in a belt with holders eh heh heh) and a head shot was provided. So if you're thinking 'Why's his hair weird' or something like that it's not my fault, I didn't design that part. So yeah IT'S DONE COMPLETELY ON THE COMPUTER! YAY! Second time using Photoshop and I have to say it worked a ton better this time, I think I'm starting to catch on to the whole layers fiasco. Oh, and before anyone says anything about the background, I'm sorry! I know it's lazy, but I couldn't think of any other way to not take away from the outfit.

I LOVE contests! They serve 2 important purposes.
1. They get you moving!
2. They are an excuse to do something out of the ordinary. :-)
(...and 3. I'm pretty competitive so if I am interested, I'll play!)
No negative comments from me! I love that you're working, besides, contests always have restrictions that direct your choices to some extent.
Good for you - not giving up on Photoshop! Wait until you see what "masks" can do! I'll teach you the whole layer mentality when we get back together.
My biggest problem now is deciding what we should deal with first! 8-0 I have a TON of stuff to teach you all. In the meantime, have fun with it!!!

I'm so excited for this year. Even if I'll be working my butt off the whole time I'm pumped!
Someone pointed out on DA that his stomach looks imploded. After looking at it again it sort of does because of how I shaded the creases in the shirt. Ah well as always I have to work on my coloring abilities ^^;
I'm going to be uploading two of the drawings I've done that will be colored in Photoshop and hopefully another watercolor by the end of the week.
I'm trying to use the technique of cell shading when I use Photoshop (on anime drawings at least), so that later I can add cool effects to the different blocks of color. Gah, I really need to save for a tablet because making lines would be so much easier. Ah well thats basically it in the world of Tr!shz!lla for now.
