Pictures! (finally :] )

Okay. The Map is of Chicago, Illinos. It's one place I'd love to go see. I rolled up some paper towels and taped them to cardboard then glued the map down then added my bits n pieces to it.
The Girl with the guitar is a 3 piecer (im not sure if it counts as 1 or 3?????) I used oil pastels for this one. I'm not finished with the last one but it shouldnt take too long. The girl with the purple/blue hair is one i like. I started by picking my favorite book (Guitar Girl) and finding a page to copy the text. I did this with permanent marker. Then I used watercolor pencils and plain watercolors to do her face/hair/head whichever you wanna call it.

Over here we have a book I'm re-doing. This one is taking a lot of time because you have to prime pages then paint then add stuff... ext. But this is the cover and back of it which i love :) Finally we have a mandala that i might turn into an envelope. I used colored pencils for this one but im not done with it. i just need to add in some text and shade a bit more.

So this is what i have so far. I'd love some feedback :)

Dancer! Hey welcome back!
I'm glad to see you got some work in, with everything else you have had going. You just might be ready for school so that you can take a break - NOT! Don't kid yourself. We're going to be busy!
I am going to reserve my comments for you until we meet in person.
One thing I will say though is that text in an image is not an "add-on". It is a part of the image and must be planned as carefully as the other visual elements. Sometimes that means less is more. Sometimes that means looking for just the right font style. Sometimes it means that is is not as much "type" as design. I see a lot of text in your work and I want you to be aware of that. We'll talk in greater depth when we get together.
I love the fact that the things you are choosing are very personal.
Let's step up the background with more layering ; more relevant information. I'll be more specific when I see you.
OK! I said I would wait and I will.
There is more that I want to say than can be included here.
Keep working. Try to get your 10 finished. The three-in-one... I haven't decided yet. One piece or three... I don't know. (Sorry :-/)
See you soon!
