heyy

hey!
well, unfortunately i dont have any exciting stories to tell, but i can give u an update on what i've been up to...
so i joined sketchfu and created a sketch. i actually really liked it too, and of course the moment i pressed "publish" my internet went down (bc of all the storms we've had)and it didn't save! i was so disappointed! but i'll keep trying and maybe one will finally save :)
also, starting today and for the nxt 2 wks i'll be visiting this cute old lady at a nursing home. i have to help her eat, take her outside in her wheelchair and just chill out with her for a couple hrs each day. she said she was a nurse in the navy during WWII, which i thought was really interesting, but she didn't talk much about it. so with that and working my regular job at the lodge retirement community, i guess u could say i'm having my fill of time w/ the elderly :)
i did g2 barnes and noble 2day and found lots of cool books i wanna look at for some art inspiration. well, thats it for me rite now. later <3

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for getting on and leaving a post!
I'm impressed with the time you're spending giving of yourself to some older people. Many people have a hard time doing that. It shows a really generous spirit. That's so important!!!
Good for you for getting on sketchfu. Too bad it was lost :-( but don't give up. It really is fun and I think it will help you work out some compositional issues if you do enough of them.
Yay for books! I'm glad you're taking it upon yourself to look at some books that catch your attention so that you can see some new directions your work could go.
One of my goals for the group is that you all develop a habit of being proactive in searching out some of your own inspiration. You'll make your best work when you do what is interesting to you. Also, you'll be able to speak more intelligently about what you have done.
Way to go Be Fierce! Your name suits you well!
