OMG!!! I wonder what happened???!!!

Well, so I checked in on December 19th, the day school ended.  I was promised some company.  I thought someone would come in, sit down and chat with me for a little bit about their work, their holiday, or maybe even what Santa brought them.  But NOOOOOOOOOOOO.
That's interesting though because this time it wasn't my idea to get back onto the blog.  I wasn't the one who said "Please Mrs. Brauer, could we start the blog again?  Can we post things and have you check in and give us some advice?"
And despite the fact that I don't have internet in Columbus, I still agreed to make the loooooooong drive to Panera to be able to check the postings and give you feedback.  *Scratches her head...  Hmm I wonder what happened?  wink, wink*

Oh Mama B driving to Panera isn't that bad, they have scrumptious sandwiches that make it all worth while. =]
Sorry I haven't been on. It seems I'm the only person left in my family who cares about Christmas so I was busy cleaning and cooking and lighting and treeing last week. I asked for help and almost got my right arm chewed off so... yeah I just did everything myself. But now my house is completely clean so my allergies aren't killing me! Yay for cleanliness!
I have an idea for my next project, which I'm thinking of doing in acrylics or oils. The only thing is that I'm a bit concerned about how people will look at it. The piece overall is going to be incredibly dark and I wanted to show distortion with a human transforming into a demon (or just a demonic image of a human in general.) Honestly, I don't know why this thought came to me. It was six in the morning and my meds were probably wearing off, but I think it will be really cool if I can paint it in some way that won't be grotesque. So I've been brain storming for about three days now and I'm starting thumbnails today to see how my ideas so far will turn out.

Kudos to you for doing the cleaning, decorating thing. I can see both sides of the situation and it's hard when life gets in the way of having fun. :-(
And you're right. Panera isn't all bad. This morning when I walked in the door, they offered me a free souffle, just for being ME! You gotta love that! It was tasty. mmmm :-)
Let's talk about your work. I don't have a problem with your idea as long as your "demon" is interesting and NOT an "expected or predictable" demon. You might also choose to focus in on body parts being transformed as well... like a hand or foot or even a finger or an eye or an ear. This could turn into a concentration all by itself! Have fun with it and think outside the box.
Enjoy the rest of your break, Trish and Happy New Year!

Oh Sweetie... It's fine. I know other things are going on.. I just hope it's not all bad.
I was just playing the guilt card for effect. I'm not upset at anyone. Honestly!
